Narcolepsy is a chronic neurological disorders characterised by excessive day time sleepiness and the urge to sleep at inappropriate times .Narcoleptics may have other symptoms such as cataplexy, sleep paralysis and hallucinations.
Diagnosis is determined by an overnight sleep study in hospital followed by a day time sleep study
